Elissa Al-Chokhachy


Elissa Al-Chokhachy is a graduate of New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, Boston College School of Nursing, and Hood College Graduate School. She works as a hospice nurse for Merrimack Valley Hospice and a health care counselor for North Shore Community College. Board certified in hospice and palliative care nursing, Elissa is a fellow in thanatology: the study of death, dying and bereavement.



Elissa is also the author of two children's books:


The Angel with the Golden Glow: A Family's Journey Through Loss & Healing, 1999
How Can I Help, Papa? A Child's Journey Through Loss & Healing, 2001.


Her new book, Miraculous Moments: True Stories Affirming That Life Goes On, is a moving collection of eighty-eight testimonials of after death communication, nearing death awareness and near death experiences. Elissa spent over a decade collecting uplifting stories for this book and its companion book for bereaved parents to follow. Without a doubt, Miraculous Moments provides invaluable reassurance that love and life are eternal.
