Trevor Riggen


Trevor Riggen has been with the Red Cross for more than nine years and has a reputation as a resourceful leader, who has been a key driver in implementing organizational changes throughout the country to improve disaster response and recovery. Trevor worked in Mass Care and as the Senior Director of Direct Services before he was promoted to the Vice President of Operations in 2012 and in 2013, was appointed as the Vice President, Disaster Operations and Logistics. Most recently, Trevor was responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining scalable programs, procedures, and volunteer opportunities to meet the direct needs of disaster clients for all domestic events. In this role he was also directly accountable for leading successful response and recovery efforts to major disasters, including Superstorm Sandy and the 2013 Oklahoma Tornadoes. Prior to coming to the Red Cross, he held several leadership positions with community-based organizations in both Illinois and the Washington, DC metro area focused on literacy, crime prevention, poverty reduction, education and emergency planning for public school districts. He served in the Peace Corps in Morocco where he developed local agricultural cooperatives.
